GOLD on GOLD ?

Well......Not really.....but the outcome looks good anyway........
We use mainly "Australian Red Cedar"(NOT Western Red Cedar)
for most of our harps. Although it is getting harder to aquire and
increasingly more expensive,  we will be using it for as long as we
are able to obtain it. There are 3 main reasons why we will do this:
  (1)  It is a timber with "interlocking" graining and is incredibly strong.
  (2)  For such a strong timber it is very lightweight, so that even a BIG
harp is comparatively easy to handle.
  (3)  The graining and coloring is  rich and attractive.

The other part of our "Gold on Gold" is actually Brass.....
All the hardware that make up our harps are made of brass....
  (1) Tuning pegs
  (2) Tuning key
  (3) Bridge pins
  (4) Soundboard eyelets
  (5) Etched strengthener plate (back of harp)
  (6) Semi-tone levers (if required)

This all gives the appearance of                     and completes our:
   "
GOLD on GOLD"  finished products........
"GOLD"
Back Home
In the pioneering days this timber was called "RED GOLD"
as these giant trees were easy to cut and transport and made
fortunes in gold for those involved.....
